The phrase means a lot of different things depending on what it’s being used for.
I had a friend with incurable cancer who was on palliative care and he would go to our local hospice for pain relief consultations as that was where were the team were based in our area. This went on for many years.

What is palliative care? End of life careincludes palliative care. If you have an illness that cannot be cured, palliative care makes you as comfortable as possible, by managing your pain and other distressing symptoms. It also involves psychological, social and spiritual support for you and your family or carers.
