I'm scared, angry and heartbroken.. Love of my life been diagnosed terminal linitis plastica stomach cancer just three weeks ago and I just can't cope well. He do not have much time left, cancer is already spread out of stomach. I'm a registered nurse and have cared so many cancer patients and still cannot believe that this 'monster' is in our life now.

I'm worried about going to be alone when he is gone.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am am always sorry to see folks finding us and so sorry to hear about the love of your life’s diagnosis.

A terminal cancer diagnosis brings a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but talking with other people who are on the same type of journey helps a lot.

The Community has various support groups and I see you have found our Stomach cancer group, this is the place where you will connect with others walking the treatment journey both as patient or family.

You have also found our Carers only and can I also highlight our Supporting someone with incurable cancer  as these groups are a great benefit as you will connect with others supporting family through their cancer journey.

It’s always good to talk - our Macmillan Support Services provides lots of ways to connect. The service is open every day 8am to 8pm and it's free to call on 0808 808 00 00. Clicking here will give you more information.

You can also email them, use the online chat and we also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.

    All the very best.
