I posted a while ago but I am pleased to say that my 19 yr old son has now undergone a 10 hour biospy and 34 sessions of proton therapy - has anyone else been diagnosed with a grade 3 endymoma Brain tumour? Thankyou

He can’t drive for 2 years which is devastating for him And he is now looking for work

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I'm glad to read that your son has successfully undergone treatment although I can understand why he'd find not being able to drive for a couple of years very difficult.

I haven't managed to find any information about endymoma brain tumours and wondered if you meant ependymoma? If so there are a few posts in the Brain cancer forum which mention them.

Could I recommend that you join this group as you can then ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting '+New' or '+' (depending on the device you're using) and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your son's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
