Hi Everyone,
Couple of weeks ago I completed 7 weeks of radiotherapy & chemotherapy for throat cancer. Anyone else gone through the throat cancer treatment??
Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am so sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and your resulting treatments.
A cancer diagnosis indeed brings a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but I found talking with other people who are on the same type of journey helped a lot.
The Community is organised into various support groups so can I first direct you to our Head and neck cancer group as this will connect you with people walking the treatment journey.
Follow the link I've created above then choose ‘click to join' on the page that opens.
You can then introduce yourself and post questions selecting '+New' or '+' (depending on the device you're using) and join in with existing discussions by clicking on 'reply'.
It’s always good to talk, our Macmillan support line is open every day from 8am to 8pm and it's free to call. Clicking here will give you more information on what the Support Line offers. Alternatively, if it's easier for you then you can email them or use the online chat.
Our Online Information and Support Section is a good place to find information covering cancer diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers.
All the very best.

Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with throat cancer but it's great that you've reached out to the community to hear about other's experiences.
As the community is divided up into groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the Head and neck cancer forum group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with throat cancer.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting '+New' or '+' (depending on the device you're using) and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
