Hi I have very recently been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I’m waiting to be listed for breast surgery. The waiting is causing me a great deal of anxiety. Does anyone have any idea how long I may have to wait for a date to be confirmed? Thanks

Whilst I didn't have breast cancer I do know how horrible it is waiting for treatment. Have you been assigned a BCNS (breast cancer nurse specialist) yet? If so she should be able to give you a rough idea of how soon your surgery is likely to be in your area of the country.
As the community is divided up into groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the group (link) where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who have this type of cancer. The members in the group will be able to tell you how long they had to wait for their surgery.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting '+New' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
