Hi, I had kidney and everything removed including part bladder last year, then had chemo for months. After that they found out that I had bladder cancer and further ops and treatment will take 3 years to get rid of it. During which time my husband has had a relapse of leukaemia and is now in Royal Marsden. Family and friends are brilliant but it would help if I could talk to someone else going through similar.
Hi , welcome to the online community, I’m sorry to hear of you and your husband’s diagnosis that can not be easy. Talking to others who are going through something similar is what this site is all about, it works very much by joining one or more of the groups on here and posting your own discussion or joining in with others.
I have a different cancer but thought it might help if I direct you to the Kidney cancer forum and the General Discussion, (I’ve made the assumption that you have two different cancers rather than one that spread otherwise it might help to look through the groups button to find the secondary cancer groups).
There is also a Carers Only - Discussion Forum if anything you want to share or ask is more appropriate.
It cant be easy looking after yourself and looking out for your husband.
Take care
