Good morning, since my husband was diagnosed with AML in November, had chemotherapy, stem cells & is now in remission which is great, as his wife I try to provide care and support to him at home.
He has GVHD for second time, in liver, lungs & skin rash. If you can offer any advice on how to cope that would be great. It's tough at the moment and with his low immune system around appointments it would be great if we can try & have more positive good days & make memories.
Thank you and have a lovely day.

Good morning Highlander,
Wow what a journey you have been on whilst fully utilising the NHS and maintaining a sense of humour. So pleased to read you are enjoying the new normal & living life to the full with a smile.
Love your advice & slogans.
Keep enjoying life & we'll try to be positive whilst the experts fix the physical.
Hi , yes it’s been an interesting 21 years. I see your husband was only diagnosed late last year. So the treatment journey he has had in such a short time will have had a massive effect on him and you.... but it does get better... with time.
I see you have joined the SCT group so have a look round but you may find this ongoing thread helpful Life after a SCT - A Survivor's Guide
Always around in the SCT Group to help out - just watch that the Community will have some down time over the next few days as it moves to the new site.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
