Hi all,

sorry I’m new to this and just looking for a bit of advice.

I’m 33 and male. I discovered a lump on my arm and after it was removed the biopsy came back as Extranodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma. I’ve been referred to the haematologist and  I have to wait 4 weeks for the results. I haven’t been given any information whatsoever from the doctors and just wondering if anyone had any information about what to expect?

im trying to stay positive but pretty scared about what could happen next.

thanks in advance

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read that you've just been diagnosed with extranodal marginal zone lymphoma and that you're now waiting for further tests. I didn't have this type of cancer but I know how horrible waiting for results is.

I have found this information from Macmillan about extranodal marginal zone lymphoma which you might not have seen yet. It says that it's a slow growing form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and I can see that you've already found and joined the group.

Clicking on the link I've created will take you there and you can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

I'm also going to tag my friend  into my reply to you as he is the Community Champion for the lymphoma groups and I'm sure he'll want to welcome you too.
