Hi I'm lou. I lost my husband wayne 4 weeks ago . He had been feeling unwell with backache at the start of lockdown and put it down to not going to the gym every day as he always did. He then started being sick and not eating. After a doctors appointment he was put on painkillers and antibiotics as they thought he had a virus. He then had blood tests and they thought it may be gallstones as the results showed a liver problem. He didn't get any better and was sent for a ct scan on the Wednesday. On the Friday the doctor called us with the results and we were devastated to be told wayne had advanced pancreatic cancer and there was nothing that could be done. He passed away at home 5 days later. It was his funeral last thursday. He was only 51. I'm 47 and we have 4 children. Although the 2 eldest are in their 20s the younger 2 are only 18 and 12. We are all heartbroken. I thought I'd join this group for support and advice from people who are dealing with this too or just to talk.
