Hi. I’m a 75 year old diagnosed in April this year with Grade 1 womb cancer (named Charlie) and have been fitted with a Mirena coil.  I was given a copy of Macmillan’s booklet “Understanding womb cancer” but can’t find anything specific on pain. What sort of pain should I expect?  I can’t imagine I would be pain free with a Charlie around.

As I have arthritis and damaged discs in my lower spine I already have chronic pain but can only use Paracetamol as anything stronger “will interfere with my heart medication”.  I’m just trying to gauge how much more pain I will have to contend with having Charlie as well. Any information will be appreciated.   Many thanks.

  • Hi I think you may have wanted to post this in our supportive Womb (uterus) cancer group that my friend highlighted to you in your first post.

Follow the link I've created above, join the group, then hit ‘start a discussion’ and you are ready to go.

You could then copy and paste the information from this first post into your new discussion.

    All the very best.

My apologies Highlander.  I thought that's what I had done!  Thanks for the correction, and for your good wishes.
