Hi everyone, I'm quite new to this, its taken a long time for me to look for support.

In Aug 2016 age 28 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and after 6 months of Chemo I was confirmed in remission in April 2017. After spending several months, in what can only be described as a whirlwind of trying to make up for lost time and prove myself worthy of surviving, I finally felt I could settle back into a normal routine.

After 2 years of remission I found my anxiety levels rising always worried it would come back. I constantly set myself goals, as a distraction and try re training my thoughts but recently I'm finding this isnt helping.

I'm hoping that there are people who have experienced HL who can offer advice and share their experiences on living after the treatment is over.

Sorry for the long post

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about struggles you are having but I am pleased to say that you have found a safe place to find some support.

A blood cancer jour net indeed brings a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but I found talking with other people who are on the same type of journey helped a lot.

My NHL journey started back in 1999 so totally get where you are coming from.

You will see that the Community has many dedicated support groups so can I direct you to our supportive Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I see you have found our Life after cancer groups and I will reply to your post on there soon,

Follow the links I've created above, join the groups, then hit ‘start a discussion’ and you are ready to go.

You could then copy and paste the information from this first post into your new discussion or you can just join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

    Always around to help out.
