Hi

Iam new to the group and would like some help. I had a mastectomy with reconstruction in Dec 2019. All went well until my wound wouldn’t heal and had another operation in January. All was fine for a couple of months until my would suffered a blister and for the last 3 weeks i am having to visit the hospital for the wound to be dressed. i am so very upset and would love to hear from anyone as i am feeling very low.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read about all the problems you've had since having a mastectomy with reconstruction. It sounds like you've been through a very difficult time.

As the community is divided up into groups, I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who may have had similar problems.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post your question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

Thank you very much for completing your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. You can edit it at any time by selecting 'Edit Profile'.

    Hi SRB61

I am new to all this online stuff too, although I do have a facebook account.

So sorry to hear that you're having such a rotten time. I'm really pleased you have found a way to reach out for some support. I have found it really hard to share some of the upsetting aspects of having breast cancer with family and friends. That is why I thought I'd try this.

I really hope you start having some better luck soon and your wound starts  to make better progress. In the meantime I hope you get some strength from knowing we are here for you.

    Big hugs

    Sue
