Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your grandma diagnosis but you have found a safe place to find some support.
It’s hard to answer your question as every circumstance is different. If she was in the shielding group she would continue to follow the guidelines based on what part of the UK she is in. I am in the shielding group so apart from my wife we still cant have any people in the house but do now have some family visit the garden at a safe distance. If she had some family visiting as part of her care then this most likely could continue, but it is all about common sense and following good hygiene guidelines. Unless she was told specially - a visit to the hospital normally does not require self isolation once home but do call our help line (see below) and talk with one of our team.
I see from your profile that your grandma’s diagnosis is not treatable and this brings a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but talking with people who are on the same type of journey helps a lot.
The Community has many dedicated support groups so can I direct you to our supportive Carers only and Supporting someone with incurable cancer groups as these are good places to connect with others supportingfamily through their cancer journey.

Can I also highlight our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00. This service covers Emotional Support, Practical Information. Clinical Information, Financial Support and Work Guidance mostly open 8.00 to 8.00 but check the link but you may find the service very busy at the moment.
