Hi
I’m having a mastectomy on Wednesday and because of the Covid pandemic I can’t have breast reconstruction surgery at the same time. Does anyone know, and this may seem odd question, if they can keep your nipple until surgery in the future? I don’t know anything about this. Thanks
Hi Polar Bear and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to read that you're unable to have breast reconstruction at the same time as your mastectomy because of the risk of this operation during the coronavirus pandemic.
I don't know the answer to your question, so could I recommend that you join the breast cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who are living with this type of cancer.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Wishing you all the best on Wednesday.
