Hi my dad has been left in the care of his GP nothing the hospital can do for him. We’ve heard nothing from the gp Dad is getting weaker by the day. He has a nurse come once a day, but we would like to know other care Dad can get.
Hi
I've just realised that you posted twice in New to the Community so sorry for not spotting this post earlier. I've replied to your other post already and you can read my reply if you click here.
If your dad has been discharged from hospital into the care of his GP then, if you haven't already, you could contact his GP and advise him that your dad is now at home. Your dad's GP can arrange for all sorts of help but you will probably need to contact him/her to ask them to set the ball in motion.
Have a look through this information produced by Macmillan and you can see the sort of care and support that is available for your dad and how to go about arranging it.
