Hi everyone,

this is my first time here. I am 41 years old and 2 days ago I've been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her2+.. Is stage 2.

I don't know what that means.  I don't know where to start.. I am feeling complitly hopeless.

I hope we can find some answers until I will start the chimo. The Dr said they have to take all out.. Sob

Thank you

  • Hi Denisa  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of confusion, stress and many questions but I found talking with people who were on the same type of journey helped a lot so can I direct you to our supportive Breast cancer and Breast cancer for the under-50s groups.

Posting in this groups will give you the opportunity to talk with people who know exactly what you are dealing with at the moment.

Follow the link I've created, join the groups, then hit ‘start a discussion’ and you are ready to go.

You could then copy and paste the information from this first post into your new discussion or you can just join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

Can I also highlight our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00. This service covers Emotional Support, Practical Information. Clinical Information, Financial Support and Work Guidance mostly open 8.00 to 8.00 but check the link but you may find the service very busy at the moment.

Our Online Information and Support Section  is a good place to find information covering cancer diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers.

All the very best and keep the Faith.

    Hi  Denisa  /

Noticed you have found and joined the Breast Group that Mike put in his reply.

Do start a new discussion there as several ladies are also HER2+ and can help you by answering any questions you may have - J (my wife) was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer way back in May 2012 so be reassured this is do'able Thumbsup tone1

It is a long drawn out treatment period but it works - I will keep a look out for your message, you will get lots of replies it is a very friendly group.

    Take care, G n' J
