Hi,my Mum was diagnosed 9 weeks ago with Stage 2 terminal cancer,I managed to see her just before lockdown and have been in touch with her daily.I know that now she isn’t eating and has some pain relief and anti-sickness meds to help her.She is becoming more and more forgetful but is still managing to take fluids.The growth has grown quite a lot in the last few weeks and she now finds it more comfortable to sometimes go to bed early as sitting is causing more discomfort.I have made the decision to go and see her as my sister is not communicating with me and I want to know Mums wishes before she is unable to tell us what she wants.
I’m feeling quite pushed out and don’t want to fall out with my sister but I need to see her and help as best as I can.I’m worrying that she hasn’t got long left on this journey.
I hope I’m making the right decision as I would never forgive myself if don’t spend some time with her now,whilst she is still able to communicate.
