Hi all, I’m new to this so please help me. I was diagnosed with womb cancer, I had hysterectomy in March, there was microscopic cells in the perineal wash. I went for my first chemo today but had a reaction to it, which was very scary so I now have to go back tomorrow and try it going in slower. I’m beyond scared now, has anyone experienced this? I’m scared I won’t be able to have the full chemo or need a different one. Please help me x

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear that you had a reaction to your chemo today. I've not had chemotherapy but I have seen lots of people comment in the community that they've had reactions to chemotherapy but their team has looked after them the next time.

As the community is divided up into cancer specific groups could I recommend that you join the womb cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from others living with this type of cancer.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Sending a supportive ((hug))
