Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, this must have come as such a shock.
A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of confusion, stress and yes, many many questions but talking with people who are on the same type of journey can help a lot so can I direct you to our very supportive Stomach cancer and Liver, secondary cancer groups.
Posting in these groups will open up your concerns to a wider group of people who know exactly what you are going through at the moment.
Follow the link I've created, join the group, then hit ‘start a discussion’ and you are ready to go.
You could then copy and paste the information from this first post into your new discussion or you can also join in with existing ‘discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.
Can I also highly recommend our various Macmillan Support Line Services - you can call them free on 0808 808 00 00 This service covers Emotional Support, Practical Information. Clinical Information, Financial Support and Work Guidance mostly open 9.00 to 5.00 but check the link but you may find the service very busy at the moment.
Our Online Information and Support Section is a good place to find information covering cancer diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers.
Click here to see how to add details to your profile. It helps everyone to see a little about you and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username but my journey was rather complicated.
All the very best.
Hi
I am so sorry you find yourself in this situation. It’s bad enough at a normal time but trying to “meet” the people who’ll be looking after you by phone adds another layer of complication.
Mike Thehighlander has given you some great info to get you started. Do have a good read of the cancer treatment specific info as this will help you to formulate some questions.
This link will take you to a Macmillan guide to questions about your diagnosis. I found it useful when I was at the start of my diagnosis.

I think there’s one important question to add to the list: who can I call if I have any questions? That way when you put the phone down and realise you forgot the one thing you really wanted to ask, you’ll know where to go.
I hope this helps. I wish you all the best. I’m in and out of hospital a lot and I hope you’ll find it reassuring to know that I’ve found the three I’ve visited to be spotlessly clean, eerily quiet and well staffed.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
