  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see folks finding us and so sorry to hear about the challenges your partner is having after treatment.

A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of stress, confusion and many questions but talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot.

You don’t say what type of cancer he has but the Community is organised into various support groups. Our first list is for our Cancer specific Groups. The second list is for our various our Cancer experience groups.

Posting in these group will open up your concerns to a wider group of people who know exactly what you are both going through at the moment.

Follow the links I've created, join the best groups, then hit ‘start a discussion’ and you are ready to go.

You could then copy and paste the information from this first post into your new discussion or you can also join in with existing ‘discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

You may also find our Carers only and Family and friends groups a benefit as you will connect with others supporting family through their cancer journey.

Can I also highly recommend our various Macmillan Support Line Services - you can call them free on 0808 808 00 00 This service covers Emotional Support, Practical Information. Clinical Information, Financial Support and Work Guidance mostly open 9.00 to 5.00 but check the link but you may find the service very busy at the moment.

When you feel up to it, it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username but my journey was rather complicated.

    All the very best.
