Hi again
I replied to you earlier today and suggested that you join us over in the melanoma group (link) which I can see you've already joined. Please click on the link I've created which will take you there and you'll then find plenty of people who can help you.
The second operation that you have had is called a wide local excision (WLE) and is done to make sure that no stray melanoma cells have been left behind.
Waiting for results is always horrible but we'll do our best to support you.
x
Ello Marta , I’ve had my first operation and removed the lump, it didn’t take long to get the results and I’ve also had the second operation after which I’ve had the results, it comes as a shock whethey tell you the results, the only thing is be calm and listen to what they say. Be prepared for the worse and any thing else is a bonus as it were. This is my first time on here so I don’t really k
w if what I say will help ,so sorry if it’s a waste. I had to wait two times from the first operations I’m a bit mater of fact about things so when I got the results I just took it in my stride. Had
touch of the wobbles when the results came in , but they wasn’t to bad. You can cope with what they tell you you are a strong person , stronger than you think . Hold your head up and say Trevor you
in’t gonna beat me , you can sod off.( Trevor was the name of my cancer) just think of it as someone you don’t like. Bye bye
Ello Marta, I think the main thing is to be truthful to your self and mainly to your children. Don’t promise anything to them but just be careful about what you say and how you say it. Can’t your husband help you with telling the kids? I can’t say there there don’t worry it will be ok because everyone is different. Just live your life with what you want to do , make memories for you and your kids . I hope this helps you.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
