Hi, my name is Cameron
Although I am new to the community, I have came with concern. My 14 year old son has a lump on the left side of his neck, just at the top of his jawline. It is painful to the touch and after a while touching it creates a numbness around it. Any help? Thanks
Hi Cameron
It's always a worrying time when you notice something wrong, especially when it's your child.
If it is a lymph node that's swollen then they can swell when you're fighting an infection like a cold etc.
Only your son's GP is in a position to examine him so give him/her a call and take it from there.
In the meantime tell your son to stop touching it and making it sore.
Do come back and let me know how you get on.
