Hi,thank you for allowing me to join this community.
im feeling very numb and lost at the moment,my dad was told he had terminal cancer last week and only has months left to live. He was due for a operation on his bladder to remove some tumours which he waited for all day but was told that the surgeon had run out of time to do this and was sent home. Another op was booked but cancelled because of covid 19. From that to now being told that it’s terminal as he has some tumours in his lung, I’m so confused as a letter came in the post saying that chemo could play a role in prolonging his life but will have to wait for a oncology team to be in touch. Sorry for rambling away but I’m so confused and lost x

Hey Ethkel
So sorry to hear your story. What you're feeling is totally normal and you've found the right place to have a voice. I'm new to all of this too but after joining only late last night have already had some fantastic support and positivity sent my way.
I've only recently had a diagnosis but like your dad had my operation cancelled and now my treatment plan is being changed also due to covid 19. It's no one person's fault, but that doesn't take away the awfulness of the situation.
I can't imagine what you and your dad are going through but I wanted to reach out with a virtual hug until you get a response from the relevant group in this supportive on line community.
Hang in there.
Hi,thank you for taking the time to respond to my post.
im so sorry to hear that you have recently been diagnosed too and it I can sympathise that your operation and treatment has been cancelled and changed. It’s comforting to know hat your have had some positive response from these groups as it’s hard to not feel completely alone in this currant climate.
i hope all this gets on its way soon so that you and my dad can get more appointments underway.
take care of yourself x
