Have just been informed that my cancer has returned. It was orininally in my bowel and had op on 26th June 2018. Followed by chemo.  After feeling odd i requested an early scan this  year and have just been informed my cancer is in small amounts (whatever that means) in my liver and lungs.  I feel that i may get lost in the system given the current climate as ive heard nothing from the hospital since and have tried to contact my surgical consultant to see who ive been referred to in oncology but had no response to date.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear that you've just discovered that your bowel cancer has spread to your liver and lungs. I can understand what a worrying time this must be for you especially as we're all having to deal with coronavirus as well.

The community is divided up into cancer specific groups so you might like to look at joining the bowel cancer, secondary liver cancer and secondary lung cancer groups where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join any or all of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
