Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
Firstly, can I offer my sincere condolences on the death of your husband. It must have been an incredibly hard time for you as you were also coming to terms with your own diagnosis.
I don't know what the normal time frame for recovery from having a kidney removed is but if you'd like to join the kidney cancer group I'm sure the people over there will be able to help you.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your husband in December.
Your body does go through a lot during cancer treatments and the recovery can take much pk her than you would expect so yes this amount of time can be normal.
A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of stress, confusion and many questions but talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot.
Can I direct you to this link to our very supportive Kidney cancer group as this will open up your concerns to a wider audience who know exactly what you are going through at the moment.
