Hello and thank you for  just being there!

Have found out this week that my husband has 99.9% got bowel cancer. He has had a biopsy following a colonoscopy and has a CT scan booked in one week to check liver and lung for Mets. Feel as if Kissing hearthave been hit by a bus ! My mum was told on 23rd Dec 2019 that her breast cancer had returned and we are waiting for her second great cancer operation ( has to have a gallstone op.first which was evKissing heartent from CT scan) I was diagnosed with melanoma two years ago and am on three monthly checks and my sister in law isKissing heart recovering from breast cancer surgery, chemo and radiotherapy last year. Just feels to much!  - so worried about our youngest child who is 15yrs as he is so close to his dad. So hoping that all will work out well for two people I love so much.

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm really sorry to hear all that has been going on in your life over the last year or so. It's no wonder that you're feeling overwhelmed! I too was diagnosed with melanoma and just had one of my 3 monthly check-ups last week.

I can see that you've already joined the bowel cancer group and I'm sure you'll find the members there a great support if you want to ask questions. You might also like to join the carers group which is a safe and supportive place to share your worries and concerns.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your husband's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Sending a supportive (((hug)))
