I am more than a year into diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the lungs, stage 4. I have been monitored with a scan and blood tests every three months. No change so far. But tomorrow I go for results of tests again, wondering if there will be changes. I feel the same, so it all depends on what the scan shows. It is a funny way to live, still I feel super lucky.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
Waiting for the results of tests or going for check-ups is always a worrying time. I have a check-up on Friday and always feel slightly apprehensive that something is going to be found this time.
The community is made up of different groups and you might like to join the lung cancer group where you'll find people on the same treatment path as you.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post questions after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
