Hi I’ve had insomnia for last four days I wondered how people cope with this ?
And also wondered if it’s the letrozole or Radiotherapy that causes it ?
Any advice would be gratefully received thank you!
Hi
First of all, Merry Christmas!
Second, welcome to the insomniacs club. You would not believe the number of people in this community who are wide awake in the wee small hours. You’ve come to the right place to keep yourself amused and chat the night away.
I know nothing about letrozole, but I had a quick look at your profile here. I see you have breast cancer. I suggest you try joining our breast cancer group. You can join the group, Introduce yourself and start talking to others and asking your question there. There’s even a thread called wide-awake where everyone discusses their insomnia and how to get through the nights.

personally I find the tried and tested methods of making sure I take regular gentle exercise, drink plenty of water, make sure I have a regular bedtime, and taking sleeping pills when I really need them helps. Managing the anxiety that contributes to insomnia is also important. For me, meditation is really useful.
Good luck! I hope you’ll find this community to be as supportive and helpful as I do

Hi Daloni thank you for your reply and hope you have a Great Christmas Inwill take your advice and join the other groups! xx
Dear welcome to the insomniacs appreciation society
we have many members so don’t be a stranger.
i also have the double whammy of not being able to stay awake after eating, it’s called postprandial somnolence
so after my Christmas dinner I’ll be face down on the dinner table I’ll have to record the queen’s speech I think.
Hi Johnty well I hope you finished your dinner before you fell asleep and not fall in it! I also needed a sleep in the afternoon told my daughter to wake me after an hour but think she left me longer so I expect to be awake most the night again!
Hope you sleep through the night
Dear not only did I stay awake during the meal I managed to stay up still 8pm before retiring to my boudoir
I then slept through till 5pm, which is a small victory in my personal war on insomnia, so I’m a happy bunny this morning
OMG ! You slept from 8pm to 5am? That’s nine hours! I literally do not remember sleeping that long. Luxury.
xx
Dear I think coming off the weekly steroids is finally starting to pay off slowly but surely.
