Hello everyone, I am new to the site and am feeling a little apprehensive. Its taken me a year and half since my operation for pancreatic cancer to sign up on here. I have been battling with my emotions and feelings as well as the recovery, even now I am finding it hard to put into words but I wanted to say hello.
Hello
A warm welcome to the Macmillan site, although equally, I'm sorry you find yourself here.
You have come to the right place for others who understand how you feel as whatever type of cancer we have (I'm from the breast cancer group) we all have the feelings to cope with as well as treatments to get rid of it.
You may wish to join the pancreatic cancer group - click on this green link and then the +join group and you will find others who have been through the same cancer as you.
You may also wish to join the emotional issues group? You can join as many groups as you want.
It is also worthwhile having a word with your doctor if you feel you aren't overcoming the emotions of being diagnosed with cancer and see what help they can provide. There are also Maggie's Centres to help you, if you wanted to meet other people 'in the flesh' as well as us virtual friends.
Kindest wishes,
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
