Hello , It’s always a concerning time when there’s a blip in treatment, it’s like we have to readjust ourselves in our seats to find that very comfortable positive spot again. I’ve had a few blips myself.

I did a tap on your user name to see if you had joined any groups yet and completed your profile, to see if there was any help I could give with using the site to get support from others in a similar position, as I have a different cancer.

i can see you’ve joined the bowel group a few months and like me you’ve taken a few months to do a post, I read a lot at first, the posts and the information and support pages, so well done for making that step. I would like to suggest you join the carers only group in addition to the bowel group and post to say hello in one or both of those. I’ve found that speaking to others with experience close to mine gives me a boost that they can understand better what I’m feeling than friends with no cancer experience. They have a carers only rule in there and they are very supportive, but as a patient I’m not allowed in. I’ve put the link below for you to click on.

In the carers group, because there will be lots of different cancers that people will be caring for it really helps to fill in your profile, with some details about what brings you to the site, it helps to read others profiles when they reply to as it gives a perspective of where they are coming from. To do your profile click on your user name, find the edit profile button, type away and press save. I need to edit mine soon, it’s way to long !.

If you want to ask a medical person more questions about your husband’s blip you could also try the ask an expert section
