Hi i am looking for Life Insurance now i am cancer free. most companies have refused me so far. Does anyone know of any that will offer it me? TIA
Hi Tanika12
Great to hear you are cancer free. In my experience (as both someone who has had cancer and an adviser) companies won’t tend to look at cover until you have been in remission for around 5 years. Then it will depend on the personal circumstances of your cancer. Even at the 5 year point the premiums could well be loaded quite heavily.
In the early days after cancer then you may want to look at accidental death cover ( pays out if you die in an accident ). Not as good cover as regular life cover but can be better than nothing and doesn’t have any underwriting.

Hi Paul1969
Well done you! Thank you so much for replying and for the info. I'll try the accidental cover then. I suppose i just want enough to ensure my girls have no money worries after i die hopefully late as possible but before i lose my marbles lol
Whats your story? im new here and still trying to work it out. How do i see someones profile?
Hi Tanika
Glad I could help although probably not the answer you wanted!
If you click on my double underlined name at the top of the post (after posted by) then it will take you through to my profile. From someones profile you can read their profile and if you want add them as a friend and that allows you to send messages to each other more privately without posting for everyone to see on a thread.
Or you can just click Paul1969 and the link will take you through.

hi
I had to take out a life policy and there seems to be just the two companies who are vaguely sympathetic
Legal & General and AIG
I was diagnosed in May 2015 and had treatment throughout that year and some jabs through 2016.
I'm going to send a friend request then we can talk a little more privately about what your requirements are.
