I have a customer at work who has been diagnosed with cancer however he cant currently work as he is a taxi driver and cant drive any ideas what financial support he ia entitled to as he is self employed and cant pay the bills its like a vicious circle
Hi
Being self employed can have a big impact on your life when you become ill
The only thing I can suggest is universal credit
Universal Credit for the self employed
If you’re claiming Universal Credit for the first time, Citizens Advice has a dedicated service to help you. Call 0800 144 8444 in England or 0800 024 1220 in Wales.
For more information and to find your local Citizens Advice on their website
Hope this helps.
