CT Scsn tomorrow after the biopsy confirmed that what they found on the colonoscopy Is malignant. Worried and confused because tests in May were ok and the colonoscopy was just a precaution due to family history. I keep thinking of the positives in as much as I’ve gained weight and I generally feel ok. BUT my bowel movements are different and have been for a while which is why I had the tests in May. Scared of the worst as is my wife and 2 daughters.

I am told treatment nowadays has advanced but that word CANCER is frightening and I have it!! I guess I have to prepare for battle

  • Hi  and a second welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear that you find yourself on the cancer rollercoaster.

Some simple reassurance from me, 20 years ago so was diagnosed with a rare type of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and told that I would never be I would never see remission, indeed told that my condition would get me some day done year but was not given a calendar....... zoom forward 17 years and I am in remission and told I will most likely die of old age. Don’t be scared of cancer but take control of the battle you can fight and that is the battle between the ears.

A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of stress, confusion and questions but talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot.
