My husband passed away in May, I thought I was coping but I feel I'm having a complete meltdown
Thank you, yes I have family but I don't want to trouble them, same with friends. Their lives go on and mine seems such a struggle. We only had a week after we was told the news, it came so quick
Hi Jan and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your loss.
The loss of a loved one to cancer can be so hard, as I was the one with the cancer I can't bring a lot to help....... but talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot.
Can I direct you to this link to our very supportive Bereaved Spouses and Partners group as this will open up your concerns to a wider audience who know exactly what you are going through at the moment.
Just follow the link above, hitting ‘Join the Group’ tab just under the main group name, then go to the 'Start a Discussion' tab and set up your own Discussion and introduce yourself to the group - you could just copy an paste what you have in this first post.
Talking to people face to face can help a lot so check to see if you have a Maggie’s Centre in your area as these folks are amazing.
((hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
