Hi, my breast cancer has spread to my bones and liver . I'm about to start chemotherapy tablet. It has taken over my life , It's the first thing I think about when I wake up & it's with me all day , whatever I'm doing. I try to be positive , but how many kick backs can one take .
Hi and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear that you on the cancer roundabout yet again.
I always found the talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot. Can I direct you to this link to our very supportive Breast cancer group as this will open up your concerns to a wider audience who know exactly what you are going through at the moment.
Just follow the link above, hitting ‘Join the Group’ tab just under the main group name, then go to the 'Start a Discussion' tab and set up your own Discussion and introduce yourself to the group - you could just copy an paste what you have in this first post.
All the very best.
Morning
So sorry to read you are going through all this again The discovery of secondaries is something everyone hopes to avoid, so no wonder this is so worrying for you but once you get 'chatting' to others in a similar situation who have been where you are now it may help banish most of those 'what if's'
Noticed you joined the Breast Group Mike mentioned, please do start a new discussion to get chatting to other welcoming and friendly members either in the breast group or in the Secondary Breast Group which may also be of quite some benefit for you ?
There are several members in the seconday group with bone / liver spread who have had this kept under control for many years.
The main breast group also has the very active monthly chemo chat discussion and Novembers chat will be starting within a few days - Have you been given a start date for your chemotherapy as yet ? I'm assuming as you mention tablets this could be Capecitabine aka Xeloda ?
Hope this is of some help at a tough time.
Take care, G n' J
