Hello.
Just thought I would join and say hi.
‘Following a suspected kidney stones diagnosis in September my GP sent me for a CT Scan which resulted in a new diagnosis of Renal cell carcinoma in the right kidney.
‘Shocked doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt. Along with frightened, angry and all sorts of other emotions.
Anyway, my care has been transferred to the Royal Free hospital where I will be having robotic surgery to remove my right kidney.

I now face a few more tests before the op which is set for the 7th November. I have an MRI scan booked in for next week.

They also found a couple of suspicious lesions in my lungs but said little about those. Deal with the kidney tumour first, as it is largish apparently. 9x9x4cms.

I will keep posting in here and the kidney group.
‘Thanks for listening.

Hi , welcome to the community, well done for finding the kidney group and for doing your profile. I have a different cancer but remember going through disbelief, and numbness to emotions. I found music helped to give me a clue to how I was feeling, and to try and chivy myself up.

Good luck with all the appointments and op that you have coming up, it’s good to get things moving along isn’t it, and at the same time taking one step at a time.

Best wishes and if there’s any help you need with finding things on the site just press reply and ask away.

Thanks for your reply KTatHome. It is good to get going’s moving but still nervous nonetheless !

I also like to lose myself in my music. Either listening to it and blocking out the world or playing my guitar is a great distraction.

Thanks for the offer of help too, much appreciated.
