Hi there 6 weeks ago we found out my partner had a brain tumour last week he had his operation last Tuesday they managed to get 70% out but they can not remove the rest due to where it is today we got told it was stage 3 and that it can't be cured we will be starting chemo in two weeks.

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to hear that your partner has recently been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. It must have been devastating news for you both.

Could I suggest that you join the brain tumours group so you can ask questions about treatment, etc and share experiences with others. Other groups that you might like to join are the carers group and the supporting someone with incurable cancer group where you can discuss your worries and get support.

To join any or all of these just click on the links I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your partner's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Sending a supportive ((hug)) to you both
