Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I was diagnosed with cancer in my right ear canal and Parotid gland in January 2019. Since then my life has been turned upside down. I have had 6 weeks of combined radiotherapy and Chemotherapy to no effect. I'm now on Cemiplimab which I'm responding well to. However I've lost the sight in my right eye due to nerve damage. I also lost the ability to walk for a while but it is coming back. I was also fitted with a PEG tube but I can now more or less swallow. I had a huge lesion behind my right ear but that has more or less healed up now. My oncologist says this is a one in a million cancer. Has anyone else on here had a similar experience? I'd like to compare experiences.

Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm very sorry that you've had to find us.
I see from your activity that you have found and joined the head and neck cancer group and this would be a good place to post your introduction from here. To do that click on the link I've created, which will take you straight back to that group, and then click on 'start a discussion'. You can then copy and paste your introduction from here to save you typing it out again.
You could also use the search facility in the group to search for previous posts that mention the type of cancer that you have.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis.
