Hi I'm new to this group and not very good with technology. Dec 2017 I was diagnosed with Cancer of the colon and liver wich was advanced. After 16 months of Chemo twice a month 3 days each time my Cancer had cleared from the Colon and mooved into Liver .In August this year I had a Liver Resection and they removed 70% of Liver. From day 1 I have been very positive about this and coped very well with Chemo. My resection was successful and went to plan and time scale. My problem now is I'm finding it difficult to cope with and I am getting depressed and suffering from Anxiety and Panic attacks. I have plenty of support around me and my 11 year old daughter is fully aware of my predicament. But when I get emotional she gets upset.I now I'm not alone and consider myself to be very lucky.I have lost a bit of appetite and a stone in weight. I Appologies if I've gone on a bit but would appreciate any comments and advice.Im a male aged 61.If I've done this not correct please tell me.
Well done unleadedkev for telling us how it is for you.
I'm please you have plenty of support but do you think it might be helpful to talk - either face to face at a Macmillan or Maggie's centre ( see In your area on the home page) or to the helpline on 0808 808 0000, 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week?
Now that all your treatment is done, there's a kind of "what happens now?" feeling, isn't there?
Btw, you've said it how it is, so it's correct
Why not join the Liver, secondary cancer group so you can get support from those in the same boat as u
