Hi. I have not long been diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump. Went for a MRI scan last Thursday. Consultant phoned this afternoon, to say they have found another couple of lumps, so I need another ultrasound scan and biopsies done before I go to see her on the 11th October. I was worried before, and am panicking like mad now. Cried buckets. Any advise greatly received. Xx

  • Hi sweetie I’m recently diagnosed so not sure what words of wisdom I can give but I can say I’m here to listen and share. Especially at silly o clock as I am not sleeping at all. Can I ask why they did a mri? I had ultrasound after finding a lump and dr found another! Had biopsy’s from both- then had to have biopsy repeated on one lump as was “normal” but obviously wasn’t. Anyway both lumps are cancerous so mastectomy needed. I’m crying tonight as they saying 25 Oct maybe for surgery and I’m thinking why the wait and why the possible date ????? Xxx

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Consultant said I needed MRI, as mammograms and ultrasound did not show full extent of the lump, I found. But they picked up two more masses which when my consultant phoned on Tuesday, she wanted ultrasound and biopsies done on them and wanted results back for when I go back on the 11th October. But am still waiting to hear anything, which is doing my head in. Can't sleep or eat properly either. That is a bit of a long wait for you, I feel for you. I have other replies to my post but can't find them. Don't find this site to easy to use.xx
