Hi I just wanted a little bit of advice please. I'm 29, I turn 30 next week and I found a lump on the right side of my neck about a month ago but thought nothing of it. Last week I felt it again and it felt slightly bigger which worried me. I booked a doctors appointment and she had a bit of a look and said to see how it goes for a couple of weeks and if it's still there then to see her again on the 14th of this month. I stupidly googled and seriously wishing I hadnt. on the 14th it will have been 3weeks since my initial appointment and I'm stressing out so so much. is this a reasonable time to wait in case it is something serious? or an I just being massively over dramatic. I'm so sorry I just havent told my family yet I dont want them to stress unnecessarily so dont know who else to turn to. Thankyou for any help.
Hi , welcome but sorry to see you finding us.
Dr Google should come with a health warning......... These bodies we live in can make this living thing hard work at times....... and can give us a lot of stress.
A week back and forward seeing your GP will not make that much difference as to what, if anything is going on.
I have a lump on my neck, have had it for a number of years now and because of all the scans and treatments I have had its not a problem....... but Dr Google says different :(
Go see your GP and get their expert advice and lets look for this not to be a problem but if it is.....please come back to us as we can help you out.
The one thing I have learned from my 20 years living and being treated for Lymphoma is that all the stress in the world makes no difference to outcomes.....but does make us even more ill and stressed.
((hugs))
Hi, I'm 32 and i'm in the same situation. I found a lump on my left side of my neck couple months ago started of as pea sized lump. I forgot about it for a few weeks and then one day I checked it again but it has got bigger. I left it for awhile tried to ignore that it wasn't there and that it wasn't happening , but I went to my gp and they book me in a for ultrasound for Monday 7th.
Hi and welcome to you and I am sorry to see that you are in the same position.
There is no point in speculating but it’s good that you are getting an Ultrasound done on the 7th as this will give a clearer picture and move this forward.
