Dear members,
i was diagnosed with TNBC in early January and have since had 3 chemos(after which it turned out I was chemo resistant),a successful lumpectomy with many lymph nodes taken out and six weeks of radiation which played havoc with my already damaged digestive system. I am to have a PET Scan mid October to see if/that the cancer has hopefully not spread.
Does anyone know of a rehab place where I can go asap for 2-3 weeks to get my immune system strengthened? I have an AXA private health insurance plus NHS so it might help if the place were approved by AXA but that is not the main concern.
i would also be interested in an alternative cancer clinic in the UK or in Europe.
Is there anybody else out there who was also chemo resistant?
Thanks,
Bianca
Hi Bianca and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm very sorry that you've had to find us.
I can't help with your questions but I see that you have joined the triple negative breast cancer group and I think if you post your questions in that group the members there may be able to help you further.
Another good group to join would be the main breast cancer group as it's much busier than the TNBC group so there may be more people with experiences to share there.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Bianca and a second welcome to the Community.
Having lived and been treated for Lymphoma for many years the recovery of the immune system just needs time for the Bone Marrow to produce the correct amount of cells to build up the immune system.
In some situations G-CSF injections that can help this but I am not sure if going to rehab clinic will make any difference but you could put your question to our Nurse Team - just follow this link to our ‘Ask an Expert’ and post your questions but please allow 2 working days to get a reply.
All the best.
