Hi,
I have had a very bad 9-10 months, since Nov last year have been in and out of the hospital, one major op after another, in Nov had my gall bladder removed, with complications, then in Feb this year went thru a routine bowel screening program and was then diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. Within 10 days i was under the knife again, complication arose when the surgeon found that the my intestines were stuck due to the complication from the removal of the gall bladder. Anyways, surgery went as well as it go. Six weeks later under went Chemo, Horrible.. is all i can say. no that Chemo is over I am suffering from numbness in my toes and fingers, which i have been told could take upto 6 months or a year to subside. If this is the case is anyone going thru these symptoms during or after completing Chemo.
Please advise...

Hi and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear you are having a lot of discomfort with your peripheral neuropathy. I am sure you know this is a side effect of your chemo. I had it in a mild form following my chemo, but it subsided after a few months. Could I suggest you join the Bowel (colon and rectum) group. If you post your questions in that group, the members there who have had the same treatment as you may be able to offer some suggestions. Best wishes.
