Hello everyone my first time on I had a colonoscope in February and told the same day that I had a malignant tumour in the bowel then in March had a part of my bowel removed through key hole surgery one good thing after the operation I never had a colostomy bag which was always on my mind in May went to see the consultant and was told where I hat the cancer they had it but out of all the samples they took some showed signs of cancer so next step was chemo therapy the drip chemo I could do that everyday because I feel ok with it but the chemo tablets I take at home for two weeks really makes me feel I'll tired all the time worn out and generally unwell I've never experienced anything like them i would have thought the drip chemo would have been the worse but the chemo tablets are really taking it out of me anybody else have had the same experience as me thanks for reading
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community although I'm sorry that you've had to find us.
Nothing beats talking to others who have been diagnosed with the same type of cancer as you and who can share experiences with you. With this in mind could I suggest that you join the bowel cancer group where you could ask your question about chemotherapy as well as get support.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself or post a question after selecting 'start a discussion' or join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
