  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am sorry to see you finding us and so sorry to hear about your boyfriend.

A cancer diagnosis can bring a lot of stress, confusion and questions from everyone but talking with people who are on the same journey can help a lot.

I am Mike  and I have lived and been treated for a rare type of NHL for over 20 years so I do understand and can I say that I am still doing good so be encouraged.

Can I direct you to these links to our

    General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    Follicular Lymphoma

    Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

    Mantel Cell Lymphoma

    T-Cell Lymphoma

Forums where you will connect with people who understand the journey you are both on. You can ask the folks questions about tests, treatments and what to expect during the months ahead.

Follow the link(s) above and join the group(s) by hitting the ‘Join the Group’ tab just under the main group name and it is worth indicating how you want to receive email notifications when someone answers your posts.

Go to the 'Start a Discussion' tab just under the main group name and set up your own Discussion and introduce yourself to the group - you could just copy an paste what you have in this first post.

“How do we cope?”........... we, your boyfriend and you will.

I will keep an eye open for you xx

I was diagnosed with MALT lymphoma last year and have had 8 lots of chemo and I have just been told that it has gone into remission and only have to back for check ups. It’s a shock to the whole family and takes time to come to terms with the diagnosis but always keep in mind non Hoskins is a perfectly treatable cancer. I found my husband was like a rock, he was always there when I wanted to talk but never pushed. I was lucky I had very few side affects apart from being very tired. I took every day as it came and just tried to carry on as normal occasionally I had a bit of a pity party as I also suffer from Crohn’s disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis but once you come to terms with it life becomes easier.
