Hello I was hopefull to getting a bit of advice from anyone that knows basically I nursed my mum through lung cancer till she passed away so I have some kmowlege of how it can be, anyway my ex husband worried me in June 2019 that his dad has prostate cancer and that he will need chemo but nobody knows about it yet I have to tell nobody its his dads wish. But it has now been 3 months since he told me and every time I try to help my ex just keeps saying he's on tablets like it was nothing then he says they are still taking blood tests and because I am asking him questions he just says they caught it early I feel he is lying to me my father in-law is 72 surly they must know the stage of it by now and a treatment plan sorted? I am driving myself nuts here.....

  • Hello and welcome to the community. Firstly let me say sorry for the loss of your mum. Also, sorry to hear about your father in law. People of a certain age like to keep things to themselves, thinking it will protect family, but we know family and friends are just as affected a the patient. Could I point you to the Prostate group where the members there will be able to answer questions about treatment etc. You may also like to join he family and friends  group where you will find others with family affected by  cancer. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.
