Hi everyone, I was told last year I got atypical hyperplasia but now I have been told my biopsy result has come back I have cancer of my womb. I have no children and I'm very heart broken about all this as I have to have an hysterectomy. If anyone else has had a similar experience please reply.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm very sorry to hear that you have recently been diagnosed with womb cancer and it's perfectly normal to be heart broken to discover that you now need a hysterectomy. Could I point you in the direction of the womb cancer group where you can ask questions, share experiences and get support from other women who will understand what you're going through.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself or ask a question after selecting 'start a discussion' or join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Babe,
I was diagnosed in august 2017 when I was 35 and have no kids, I had a hysterectomy to treat me. Have you asked your surgeon about fertility sparing treatment? There may be options that you can consider, like freezing eggs, etc. I didn't get ask for fertility advice, I just cracked on with the surgery.
There are a few younger women in the group who are being treated with hormone therapy with early stage womb cancer, they take provera, have a coil and have regular womb biopsies to check on progress, although I suspect you might have already tried hormone therapy as you were checked last year, if you come and post in the womb group the others are usually happy to share their experiences
lots of love
