Hello , I hope someone on here can give me some advice, I have a blister like sore in my upper lip for a while now and my doctor said it’s not a cold sore but he’s not sure what it is , and I have tried lots of creams and things to see if they help , but nothing has , I are really worried and I want to get it checked out privately but not sure which specialist I should see , is it ENT or some other specialist, I really want to book the right one for money reasons as you can understand. Hope someone can lead me in the right direction please .
Hi and welcome to the online community
It must be very frustrating for you that you have this sore in your upper lip but your doctor doesn't know what it is.
Normally, if your doctor does not know what something is, he or she would refer you to a specialist as happened to me. You would not be expected to find a specialist yourself.
I think you need to make an appointment to see your GP again and ask him/her to refer you to find out what this sore is and how it can be treated.
