Hello my mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour a few months ago she had it removed 4 weeks ago but they were unable to remove it all. She had a biopsy taken at the same time and she had a letter saying she has an appointment in oncology? Does this mean her tumour is malignant? Many thanks
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that your mum recently had to undergo surgery for a brain tumour. There are several groups for people with brain tumours but, as you haven't said which type your mum has, can I suggest that you join the brain tumour group where you can post questions and get support.
To join this group just click on the link I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the page that opens. You can then post a question or introduce yourself after selecting 'start a discussion' and respond to existing posts by clicking on 'reply'.
Once you've joined if you look on the right-hand side of the page you'll see the other brain tumour groups which you could join if you feel they're more appropriate.
When you feel ready it would be really useful if could pop something about your mum's journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
