i have just been recently diagnosed with lymph node cancer. I have lost my appetite but am still trying to maintain my daily calorie intake (2500). However, despite my best efforts, I am still losing weight. What more can I do? Can my GP prescribe something to stabilise weight?
Hi Mike welcome to the online community and I know that this is not the place you want to be at but I am pleased that you decided to reach out to us.
If you could tell us more about your diagnosis we will be able to suggest groups that you can join and meet people with the same diagonis as yourself.
But your reason for coming here was to ask about weight loss and yes your GP is always the place to go however you may need to speak to a dietitian and you can ask questions on our (Missing Group) page and I'm sure you will receive some good advice from her.
You can also ask questions on our Ask a Nurse page and the nurses are very good with giving advice.
In both "ask" pages we ask that you allow upto 2 days for them to respond, but you will receive a response.
Please give us more information about yourself in order that we can introduce you to some of our very friendly group members.
Ian
